Can choose to send me your clothing, fabric, and other materials to use for your quilt, As Well As- give me ideas of colors, patterns, styles, prints, designs, etc you like at which time i present you with an assortment of fabrics/materials which i can preorder for your quilt, also can show you fabric/materials/etc i have on hand *(which i normally have a wide variety and good choice of different designs, colors, prints and other fabric/material) And last but not least can do any combination of the above mentioned options- Plus if you’d like, we can do both your choices along with some room for artistic freedom choices (AKA: i will of course, go over your likes/dislikes- but then will include fabric/material of my choosing that i believe will compliment your quilt.)

Back fabric: again, your choice of minky, fleece, etc- i try and stick with the more soft, cuddly, and not to mention warm options for back fabric. But can use anything you wish!

 Whether you have boxes & boxes of outgrown, old/no longer worn Baby and/or Children's Clothing, or if you have just a few 'Very Special/Sentimental' pieces you'd like Incorporated into your Keepsake/Memory Quilt... I will always be sure to take extra Care & of course, Attention to Every Important/Special Detail, as I create your one of a kind, truly 'you'nique' gift/item.

 Each Quilt is made using Your outgrown/old/sentimental Baby's/Toddler's/Children's Clothing items **NOTE: {I Also have made Quilts using material/fabric from some of my old clothing items- which have come out very nice, and of course are also a special Keepsake and/or just a beautiful quilt to warm up with or keep your bed looking beautiful! :) If You'd like to use any teen/adult/other clothing items, I am More than happy to work with/use theme- just please let me know at start of order the clothing sizes, items, etc that you wish to have into your quilts.}

  My New/Updated Reborn/Baby Doll Bassinets/Carrier Beds

  Last month my Daughter, Genesis Finally got her "Dream Baby!" A 14" Vollence (AKA: Ivita) full silicone baby girl, whom she named Zowie. She has wanted her since around December/January, which at the time was not something we were able to do (this was during our "in between" homeless time) so I had posted around ISO: anyone interested in Trading a 14" Vollence/Ivita for my 18" Vollence, unfortunately there was no responses and the one individual at the time who did answer 1 of my posts was clearly trying to Scam me. So months went by, we both kind of 'forgot' about it, though she still talked about wanting her from time to time. Then about a month ago I receive an email from a lovely woman in Canada who was interested in trading, we talked for a bit/exchanged a number of emails, pics, etc. I was more than willing to do the trade - one day I receive an email from her stating "She did not want to take 'Emmie', my 18" Vollence out of our family, because she could tell how 'bonded' our family was with her." I informed her I was more than happy to do the trade, as I was doing so for Genesis. Long story semi-shortened, this incredibly kind woman ended up sending Genesis the baby, along with a nice little box w/a couple items- for nothing in return! I could not be any more grateful and have tried to express just how thankful both Genesis and I are for her act of kindness and generosity, though I feel word are not enough and do plan to send her a special gift and thank you's in the next month or so. 

  Prior to Zowie's arrival, Genesis wanted to get her bedroom (which her and I recently traded rooms; she now has my old design studio room and I have her old bedroom) ready for her new baby, etc. So I made her a crib using a decent size, very sturdy box which I Painted, added a Sweet Dreams message on and Genesis added a couple stickers to the front. To keep it safe (My youngest Son, Caius is 2 & 1/2 and though he means well he can be quite destructive at times LOL) so I screwed it to her wall, at a level high enough to avoid Caius' path of chaos & at Genesis' level so she can easily put Zowie in/out etc.

  This past July Genesis' best friend, Deja who also loves babies/reborns (Genesis had given her, 'Makenzie' her 1st life-like baby awhile back so they each had a baby to play with when together) turned 10 and she was getting an Ashton Drake baby, Alicia's Gentle Touch for her Birthday. So being Me, I of course had to get right to work making her a little shower box and was trying to think of a bigger item I could make her, while she was over one night she stated she would like a baby crib/bed for when she got her baby so I decided I'd make her one. I 1st started using similar items I had used to make the wall crib for Genesis' baby, this was for some reason not turning out how I had planned, so I spent some time looking up ideas online and found a few 'baby carrier beds/baskets' I thought would be a good idea to make for her. I made my own pattern/template and so on and the bed ended up turning out, what I think is pretty good! *(Deja Loved it and immediately Genesis wanted one also! *That part of the story soon to come.)

Items as well as a nice shower box opening including Clothes, Accessories, Diapers, & More.  He fits into nb-0/3mos size clothing, size 1 diaper- he is bathable- but if/when you bathe him make sure after you towel dry, etc that you sit him up for 5-10mins to ensure No water is inside, as it is possible for water to get into him if fully submerged in a bath. 
 He is in Excellent condition- No 'BooBoos'/damage; I bought him brand new September 20th 2018. He has been very well cared for- He will come with a personalized/custom 'Adoption Certificate' (which i can list a new name, if you choose to change his name and/or can leave space blank for you to list name when/if you choose) he will also come with 4-6 diapers, clothing items, baby hair brush *(which as with all the Ashton Drake dolls, in my opinion at least- you Must regularly brush their hair in order to avoid it becoming matted/tangled You can use a spray bottle with water to mist hair and then brush gently or can wet brush, if you'd like- in my experience it does make it much easier to brush and maintain their hair.)
He will also come with a special hand made Huggy, a giftbox full of adorable and fun baby shower favors and decorative items, all his original items (3pc handknit blue sweater, booties, and hat, certificate of authenticity) *aside from the 'hospital bracelet' he came with because i misplaced it somehow- which if you'd like i am happy to make you a new one for him. Water...Essential 2All Life- Fundraiser DIY Sea Critter Stuffies

So over the past couple weeks Genesis & I have been working hard on her 4th grade water fair project.. And I must say, aside from the fact that I think her project came out Awesome (she got a 99/100!) I also found in my many hours of research just how bad we are impacting not only the world, climate, our water which is essential to our very existence! I am Not one of those people in denial about just how s****y us humans really are- but even I didn't know just how dire the situation is- So combined with my regular seeing craze which I have currently been on- I am making a special batch of 1of A Kind Sea Critters 4 Saving Stuffies- I will have them Available for sale And ALL (100% OF MONEYS RECEIVED) WILL BE GOING TOWARDS WATER PROTECTION, CONSERVATION, SANITATION EFFORTS AND EDUCATION EFFORTS ALL ON THE HOPES THAT WE MAY BEGIN TO APPRECIATE HOW TRULY BLESSED WE ARE TO HAVE SUCH AN INCREDIBLE HOME AS WE DO HERE ON EARTH AND ALSO IN THE HOPES THAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO POSSIBLY REPAIR EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF WRONG WE'VE DONE- So that Both Our Children and Future Generations are able to live BUT Also those who are here now can have access to Clean Water & A Cleaner Planet!.

 

 My New Sewing Supplies & Materials

My birthday was this month (February 6th) which as an adult, it's honestly Nothing to get excited about ..(@ least that's my personal feeling) I Won't lie, of course the week of and/or a couple days before- yea I get a teeny-tiny bit, not excited per say but IDK just the 'normal' slight kind of lookinh forward to "My BirthDay" feeling... Which in most cases quickly subsides when the actual day comes and I remind myself Not only am I a 'Grown Up' but I remember just how grown up I actually am (I turned 28 this year and s*** I am not sure how I'm feeling about it) 
 As with most posts, stories, Etc.  I DIGRESS...
 Even though I don't ask anyone for anything 🎁 Though if I may point out I did ask for 1 day of semi peace just even 1/2 the day Not having the regular everyday stresses..

This print I'm not 100% sure what it's called, my Stepdaughter said 'sugar skulls'- Either way I Love it!

My Singer Stitch Sew Quick 2 (NOTE: Scott had got me a smaller handheld version prior to this one, which i was Not thrilled with- when he 1st gave it to me i thought it was a stapler LOL and trying to sew even the simplest of items proved to be difficult (@ least for me)
This one seemed to be much easier to use.

Finally a Rotary cutter (I believe it's called) & board- i am not good with cutting straight lines, even with a pattern and all so this has helped. Though unfortunately it seemed the blade dulled very quickly and it says it has a "self-healing" board, which i assumed meant the cuts/marks would somehow fade/lessen- they have not.

 I've been wanting to do a decent 'Tutorial' for sometime now, but it just seems like there is never enough time these days LOL- But here it is....

For Babies, Toddlers, & Kids!

  During the 4mo period we were 'In-Between' moving from our previous residence to finding a new place (Which we Finally did the 1st week of March 2019!!) my 2yr old Son, Caius was having some difficulty sleeping- well more like sleeping on his own for the entire (or as I always say "just let him sleep well for @least most of the night in his own bed!")

 Seeing how it was an already stressful situation for All of us, and my always trying to find ways/things to help make it better and/or more enjoyable/comfortable for the kids i started looking up baby sleep beds- *(I've made quite a few SnuGlyBeds in the past for orders, as well as for my Daughter's reborns) so i was looking for something in that general idea, that could possibly help him sleep better on his own.
 I had found a couple ideas via Pinterest of this 'Partner Arm co-sleeper' pillow like thing, which was made with what i believe is a man's button up pj shirt and is stuffed and can be used as a sleeping companion... *Don't quote me 100%, but that is definitely what i got out of it from the posts/pics.
  I thought this idea could definitely be a starting point and with my own personal 'tweaks', maybe it could help Caius feel as if I was sleeping/cuddling/holding him.  I couldn't find any sewing patterns and/or tutorials that had anything to do with what i was trying to create, so i thought- "hmm why not use my own arm!?" What better than using the actual thing I'm trying to replicate, 1st I measured the length of my arm, writing notes/measurements down as if i was going to just draw up an arm or w.e lol- so instead i thought why not make my own pattern. I took 3-4 pieces of printer paper and taped them together i laid my arm down (was a bit difficult some angles and lines lol (i had to erase and redraw quite a few parts if the pattern after my initial trace :)

  Materials/Supplies Needed (I used)
 -3-4 pcs of computer printer paper
 -Scotch Tape (at the time i did my original/practice one, i only had duct tape- so my 1st pattern had duct tape on it lol)
-Scissors and/or Rotary cutter & cutting board
-Fabric; *As i stated above for my practice one i used an old pillow case and scrap fabric, which i feel could of turned out better but with my 2nd one (And much better 1) i uses fleece fabric with elephant print. i do not have exact measurements but i had purchased a little over 1 & 1/2 yards of this elephant print fleece fabric and not only did i make my Son's 2nd HuGGyPiLLow, but i also just made 1 for my Grandson (and used in 2 baby blankets & couple other projects using both this fabric and others- point being; it seems to go along way)
-Thread/Needles i used a combo of a more dull tip needle as well as a thin sharp point needle (i do not know all the correct names/terms for every items in sewing)
I hand sewed all of the ones i made so if your using sewing machine the directions are pretty much the same.
-Poly-Fil Fiber Stuffing (& scrap fabric which i used a combo of both in my Grandson's HuGGyPiLLow)  *Fleece & Minky scrap seems to stuff things better

NOTE: That for this practice one above i had done 3 pcs I.E: each arm individually and the pillow part individually then sewed together. For my 2nd one i cut out fabric/pattern in 1 piece each I.E: top and bottom, which made it a lot easier. For my grandson's (which i made smaller than Caius' because he is only 5 1/2mos and Caius is 2yrs old) i did it in 3 piece again, which was easier for the size.

   Caius seemed to like his 1st HuGGyPiLLow... (which at the time i was all proud of it too- until we moved into our new place and i started working on a new 1 and saw how my 2nd one turned out LOL)
