DIY Teepee Tent Summer 2020

We were originally going to use 4 pieces of trim (which we had cut at 8 feet for our apartment reno we've been working on- but of course being the Amazing Man he is, Scott had no problem withme using a few for my newest "DIY Project of theweek!") he cut them down to 5-5 1/2 feet or so and as you can see we ened up using only 3 large pices and 2 smaller pieces for 'stabilizers/support'.

The decorating/set-up is still a 'WIP' (I just can't let things be i have to go all out- lol plus Caius has been loving spending time in here, not to mention he's slept in there every night since we finished about a week or so now!)

With my 10 other current DIY projects going on I have so much Tulle fabric (which i only recently started using and have to say is 1 of my top FAVORITE type of materials at this time! There is literally endless # of things you can do with it!!!!!) sed some tulle at the top and inside to make the support pieces look a bit better- not that I think Caius actually cares about that part too much. :) 

I had looked at so many other tutorials and ideas online- (mostly via Pinterest) but as normal we just used as base idea and ended up doing our own thing- i tried for a "No Sew" method but have had to sew the fabric on at a few spots to make sure the fabric is tight enough/for space inside. 

I just finished the first cushion- (I've been using multiple blankets folded/placed for a comfy spot in the teepee tent but figured a cushion or something like that would be better, especially seeing how Caius has been sleeping in there! Will post/add more pics later- I'm on my 2nd cushion/mat right now. :)

Enter The Amazing & You'Nique World of Tattooing

    So, I believe it was around the beginning of March or so this year, my Daughter & her boyfriend were having his Uncle come up and do tattoos (which we had planned well before the virus all came up and stuff) since they live with us the plan was I could get a tattoo as my 'fee' for everyone getting their's done here... of course I spent like 2+ weeks drawing a tree with Damien & Caius' names (seeing how I didn't have their names at the time) well long story short after all that i realized it was a bit too big, even after editing it on my laptop, etc- so I decided on a different tat *[PICS WILL BE POSTED BELOW] during this time I not only drew up mine, but my Daughters' and others as well and not to sound like a stuck up d***, cause I'm the last person who brags and/or thinks they are great- I have always been a decent artist; with all the other stuff I do as well as drawing/sketching- I can look at an imag/pic and draw it and I can draw on my own- well during this time I could not stop thinking about how I would love to try tattooing- but I didnt want to admit/tell anyone that because I figured everyone would just think "there's another thing Sydney thinks she can do/is good at" eventually I did happen to bring it up to Kirsten (my daughter) as well as my bf Scott and they thought it was a good idea- 

  May 2020 I ordered a tattoo kit and as soon as it got here started practicing; the practice skin it came with kind of sucks *(NO OFFENSE TO THE CO. I GOT THE KIT FROM- THEY ARE GREAT/MY KIT IT GREAT- JUST NOT THE SKIN) I did some work on a honeydew or 2 (as melons are very popular for practicing i guess) plus other forms of practice- which I cannot stress enough - that no matter what I've been able to do thus far, i am still regularly practicing with both my hand drawing, as well as using my 2 tattoo pens + I am regularly reading and taking notes, I've even started watching lots of videos- and for me that is not my best way of learning normally, but for this area of art/tattooing videos have proven to be incredibly helpful!

Custom Bracelets By Genesis

Custom bracelets made specially by Genesis! Alittle while back i first posted about my Daughter, Genesis and her friend starting their little business- of course i supported 2000% along with my words of wisdom lol well long story short things happened that were far from fair and instead of being sour Genesis earned some money and bought all new supplies! She's been hard at work since even making a handful of bracelets to sell to help raise money for our event we are hoping to have at the end of school year Teacher & Student Appreciation Celebration Event. Unfortunately the other day while running to the corner store for me, Genesis dropped her phone (which if i may add she waited for a very long time before we decided t9 get her a very reasonably priced phone like a month ago) so now she is determined to make and sell enough bracelets to fix her phone by Monday when the screen part is in. If anyone is interested the bracelets are super cute (I've accumulated a half dozen or more and i wear them proudly!) Custom color(s) patterns other. Different sizes available. **(It was my 1st time making a 'Balloon Chandelier'- I have made the 'Balloon Arch and couple of times but was looking for something along the lines of that but also something that was not accessible by either my youngest Son, Caius, Payton or her cousin who is alittle over 1 that also attended the party- *(I, personally do not think balloons & children, especially young children are a good combination-) I tried taking pics from different angles because it looked much better from some views than others LOL)
